Living in the Maldives since 1999, Thomas has been roaming the Maldives extensively carrying out environmental studies for the tourism industry and public institutions alike.  Thomas is particularly interested in questions relating to coastal structures and dynamics, and therefore for corals, the natural reefbuilders.

Member of the National Technical Team for Climate Change, he has been involved with coral transplantation projects since 2002.
